A tough test for our first game of the season against a bunch of big lads from Div 1. Blaze had some important players missing but we acquitted ourselves well and fought hard. Harris was outstanding in goal and Johnson cleaned up well at centre back. Potential new signing Baker. playing in a holding role, also did well helping out the defence. Leopards were helped by the wind and some defensive lapses in H1 and Blaze barely had an attack. 4-0 at half time. Blaze were on the offensive far more in the second half, Macsween shot wide on two occasions and Lutwama-Mwanga and Price also had good chances after Baker carved open the defence after a couple of great runs from midfield. Unfortunately, Blaze were caught out twice at the back on the break and leaked another two goals before the final whistle. A 6-0 defeat but management took more positives than negatives from the game.
