Another tough game but Blaze registered their first win for some time and it was well deserved. Hills opened the scoring through sheer persistence in H1 during a largely even first half which saw defences on top. Blaze carried the game more to Beacon in H2 following a tactical switch more allowed more of a link between the midfield and the forwards. The winner came from Ingrouille who did well to keep his eye on a dropping ball to roll it into an empty net from the edge of the box. Blaze could have had a few more as Macsween went close and Monsell hit a post after a fine run. Everyone played their part today but in particular there were fine performances from Johnson and Price. Hills was sporting his new "summer ferret" haircut which also saw him able to continue his fine run of recent form.
