Following our impressive performance of last week, we started a bit slow this time out. But it was our in form striker that carved out 2 chances to score from nothing, within the first 10 mins, against the run of play with the home side passing the ball around nicely. This seemed to lull us into thinking the game was won and struggled to really get going, but we defended well and Jack made a couple of good saves too. 2-0 at ht
We knew the next goal would be the important one and Green pushed us back and we just couldn't get into any rhythm. Eventually green scored via a well taken free kick and their tails were up. Again we defended well but our resistance finally broken to equalise with only a couple of mins on the clock.
Extra time followed and we looked the more likely now, but neither side could create the match winning chance. Josh deserves a mention as stand in left back, coping well with the game, however, a tireless performance from Michael edged him out for mom this week.
We were not at our best, but we are still in the cup and will look forward to taking them back to fortress Broomfield.
