We reviewed last week and wanted a reaction. We started well on a very wet day and were on top, creating 2/3 chances. But against the run of play, our keeper spilled what for him would be a routine take, but with a wet ball anything can happen- which presented their forward with an easy chance. However, despite this, we didn't look under pressure and we made some of our own with Hughesy always looking dangerous. Some good work up front created a snap chance and again he made no mistake to level. We kicked on and some good passing and movement created more chances for Reece and Josh to extend our lead. With the half whistle in the refs mouth, Jack broke free to sweep in confidently. Only 2-1 but a fair reflection of our play.
We didn't ever look like losing this game and our work rate remained high with Andrew running the midfield and Michael beavering away we looked the stronger side. Jack was put clean through 1-1 with the keeper and he calmly netted his hat-trick and finishing off a good performance. Last week now firmly behind us.
